Mr Robert Temple MB. ChB. FRCSEd (OTOL), FRCSEd (ORL-HNS) is a Consultant Ear Nose and Throat surgeon and a fully accredited surgeon with the General Medical Council as an ENT Specialist. He has been working independently as a Consultant Surgeon since 2002 and was the ENT lead on the Nuffield Medical Advisory Committee for 12 years. He has over 30 years of experience having undertaken initial house officer training in ENT in Sheffield in 1991.
After gaining valuable experience training in Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester and other hospitals in the North West, he then went on to further his experience overseas with ENT fellowships in 3 centres in France; Paris, Marseille and Beziers and Gothenburg in Sweden.
In 2003 he took up the position as Consultant ENT surgeon at The Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust where he undertook his NHS commitments until 2021. There he was the Lead Clinician and senior consultant for the ENT department, educational supervisor for ENT training doctors and senior appraiser of consultant colleagues in the Countess Hospital.
His recent publications on Bone Anchored Hearing Aid surgery outcomes has lead to invitations to speak at International ENT and Implant Conferences to share his techniques and results.
He sees patients with all ENT problems and has special interests in:
Paediatric Ear Nose and Throat surgery
Nasal form and function including Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
Otology, including Hearing Loss, Tinnitus and Vertigo,
Hearing Reconstructive Surgery.
Bone Anchored Hearing Aids
Snoring investigations and surgery.
Allergy investigation and Treatment.
Voice and swallowing disorders.
